How Your Dexari Wallet is Secured

Dexari wallets use Multi-Party Computation (MPC), which replaces a single private key with three security factors. Any two out of three are needed to access your account.

Your Security Factors:

1️⃣ Login Factor – Encrypted with the login info you provide (e.g., email).

2️⃣ Device Factor – Stored securely on your phone.

3️⃣ Recovery Factor – A 24-word recovery phrase (a randomized mnemonic) generated during setup.

🚨 Warning: If you lose two security factors, your account is permanently lost. There is no reset, no backup, and no way for Dexari to recover it.

That’s why securing your recovery phrase is critical—it’s your only way back if you lose access to your login or device factor.

When Do You Need Your Recovery Phrase?

If you lose access to either your login or device factor, you can recover your account using your recovery phrase. Without your recovery phrase, your account cannot be recovered—so make sure to secure your recovery phrase in a safe place.

Lost Access? Here’s What to Do:

  • Lost login, but still have your device?
    → Use “No login? Recover account” in the app and enter your recovery phrase.

  • Lost your device, but still have login access?
    → Log in as usual. The app will detect the missing factor and prompt recovery.

  • Lost both login and device?
    → Without your recovery phrase, your account cannot be recovered.     Dexari is fully self-custodial, meaning only you have control of your account and assets.
