How do BNB funding rates work on Hyperliquid?
Funding payments are exchanged between longs and shorts every hour on Hyperliquid. When the rate is positive, longs pay shorts. When it is negative, shorts pay longs. Funding is peer to peer, not a platform fee, and is calculated on your full position size.
What is the difference between trading BNB perps and buying BNB?
Buying BNB gives you ownership of the tokens themselves. Trading BNB perps gives you leveraged long or short exposure to the BNB price without holding the tokens, and your position exchanges hourly funding while it stays open.
